Print Design

With so much beauty in the world, we often find ourselves competing for people’s attention. Whatever the message, audiences are more likely to respond if it’s good to look at and easy to remember. Strong design can make that happen.

Challenge

We were asked to illustrate the breadth and depth of the 200 participants involved in this ground-breaking research programme.

Future Climate for Africa

Solution

The client approached us with an idea of what they wanted but we felt we could represent the information in a more visually appealing way, so we sought out the best solution to do this. After some brainstorming and research, we found something we really liked and fortunately the client liked it too.

Challenge

DesignThinkers approached us to create a mock-up infographic that can be used to market one of their design programs in a more visual manner. This infographic needed to illustrate the design process which is explored in the program.

Design Thinkers Academy

Solution

The client provided us with a very basic flow of the design process that needed to be conveyed. We improved on this by changing the layout, summarising the information and incorporating more visual elements to make the design more attractive to look at and easier to understand. Lastly, we created a printable version in the form of a flyer which folds out to reveal the full infographic.

Challenge

We were tasked with distilling key facts from a 100-page report into a poster which aims to help stakeholders understand the main takeaways from this project.

ORT SA Cape

Solution

The first step was to understand what the client wanted to communicate. Then we divided the graphic into sections and found visual devices to communicate the key concepts in an appealing way.

Challenge

GCX wanted to simplify complex analytical data about their carbon impact at Sun City in a graphic for internal use.

Global Vision International

Solution

We worked closely with the client to understand the data they wanted to portray and what kind of flow the graphic needed to have in order to make sense. We designed various iterations to result in the finished product that you see now.

Challenge

We were asked to design the ORT annual report in a way that stands out, makes a statement and shows appreciation to the funders and donors involved.

ORT SA Cape

Solution

Incorporating the new ORT identity, we created a high-impact and visually strong book that spoke to the stakeholders and communicated what the organisation had been doing during the previous year.

Challenge

We were chosen to design, edit and layout a 100-page report complete with complex data and feedback models that outline the effectiveness of a Nigeria based initiative.

Initiative for Global Development

Solution

Working closely with an editor, we put together a planning structure to meet the client’s publishing deadline. The design and layout was done in Adobe InDesign and we had to strike a balance between innovative design, client branding and the right tone of voice for the intended audience. Multiple stakeholders increased the complexity of the project which called for greater control of the brief and its delivery.

Challenge

African Risk Capacity wanted to inform governments of their new climate change insurance product which supports adaptation and risk reduction. To do this, they asked us to design a simple and visually-enticing infographic that would be handed out at the 18th Conference of the Parties (otherwise known as COP 18).

Africa Risk Capacity

Solution

We created a double-sided infographic which folds out much like a flyer. The design had to incorporate elements of the original insurance product and communicate how the initial product supports and compares to ARC’s latest offering. Our concept shifted throughout the creative process to facilitate the client’s requests and we worked closely to achieve an end result which met all of their needs.
